I'm a writer, director, and producer based in Calgary, Alberta — with over 15 years of experience across pretty much every corner of the media landscape. Feature films, broadcast television, documentaries, commercials, digital content, corporate video, and at least one game show I'd rather not discuss... ever.
Since 2017, I've been producing content with Corus Entertainment, building a body of work that spans broadcast and digital commercials, and longform content. This is the kind of work that has to be good and on time and on budget. I manage all three.

About
What can be said about Jordan Scott that hasn't been said before? A lot, actually.
My documentary work runs the full range — from deep-dive corporate narratives to large-scale broadcast specials. I wrote, directed and produced the Edmonton Opera Valentine's Day Gala for Global Television, and wrote and directed 261 Hours: A Hockey Marathon, a broadcast hour documentary that did exactly what the title suggests. My instinct is always the same: nail the characters, the conflicts, find the stakes and dig in.
That instinct carries directly into my narrative work. I'm a Nicholl Fellowship Quarterfinalist — one of the most competitive screenwriting competitions in the world, run by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences. My creative credits include Story Editor on the horror-suspense feature film Knuckleball, and writing for broadcast TV series on CMT Canada including Pet Heroes and Paul Brandt's Build it Forward.
I consider myself a writer first. A director second. A producer when the situation demands it and nobody else is available.
Storytelling 101.
I was born and raised on the Prairies and have built my entire career here in Alberta. Calgary's production community is scrappy, talented, and chronically underestimated - we're home to some of the best crews and most creative people in the world. I love this place - and I love collaborating with local creators AND outta-towners. I'm easy - but not necessarily breezy...
I'm available for representation, co-development, staffing, and collaboration — locally, nationally, and internationally. I have a passport and I can be at the airport in less than 30 mins... 35 mins depending on traffic.

Creativity & Storytelling
I've read enough Joseph Campbell to know that being human is fundamentally about telling stories, hearing them, and passing them along.
